wohs_yaledo_eht sent some motherfucking books! Here’s his note:
Dear Lavish & Boobury, As I have not tendered my soul in exchange for imperial providence, I follows that I am a fairly penniless philosopher. So, I don't really do cash donations and must instead rely on in-kind value-for-value offerings. So, (drum roll please!) in appreciation of the BTS horn section et al, I offer you all the PDFs of my first four novels. If you insisted, I could send you hardcopies although I'm personally out of the most recent one (I have a single-book-at-a-time perfect binder, but it's a bit of a chore especially when my stack printer has gone to the boneyard.) Usually I only do an in-house print run when I have a convention booth or some other signing event scheduled, but since I haven't published in a few years, I've really let the marketing aspect slide. The serial (the first three books) are pretty bubble-gummy, but they're still juicy. Please enjoy! The fourth one is a standalone, and it's heavier, but I've always been perhaps most proud of it. Hope ya like it! It's been a few years since I (self-) published any fiction because I went back to school for a few years. But there should be more to come sooner or later.

D.B. Cooper Skyjacking Case Turns 50
The iconic case began on November 24th, 1971 when a largely nondescript man wearing dark sunglasses and wielding a briefcase boarded a normally routine flight from Seattle to Portland. Once in the air, he slipped a flight attendant a note stating that he had a bomb and, after showing her what appeared to be the explosive device, informed her that he wanted $200,000 in cash as well as four parachutes.
The hijacked flight subsequently landed at a nearby airport where the other passengers, unaware of the drama unfolding around them, were evacuated and the money was delivered to the airliner by authorities looking to resolve the matter as peacefully as possible. The plane then took off once again en route for Mexico City, per the man's instruction, with only him and the crew remaining aboard. Shortly thereafter, he walked to the back of the aircraft and opened a staircase that descended from the rear of the plane. Grabbing the $200,000 and strapping on a parachute that had been provided by police, he jumped from the plane and vanished into history.
The FBI immediately launched an exhaustive investigation into the case and set out searching for the skyjacker, who had actually gone by the name 'Dan Cooper' when he boarded the plane. However, the man was soon dubbed 'D.B. Cooper' due to an error in an initial media report that wound up being picked up by the wire services and, in turn, stuck to the suspect ever since.
Perhaps the biggest break in the case occurred around five years later when a young boy stumbled upon a bundle of money from the skyjacking on a remote beach near Vancouver, Washington.
Over the ensuing decades, the FBI continued trying to crack the case until finally announcing in 2016 that they were suspending their active investigation, but were willing to look at any new potential evidence that may come up in the future, as happened the following year.
Recent years have seen a resurgence of interest in the quintessential American mystery with a variety of books, documentaries, and TV specials devoted to trying to unmask the man at the center of the strange story, yet he remains a cipher. One enlightening development from this proverbial Cooper renaissance is that some of the key witnesses from the flight have come forward to share their first-hand experiences from the skyjacking.
Remarkably, time has been kind to D.B. Cooper in the fifty years since that fateful evening, as he is now often viewed a something of a folk hero akin to a modern-day version of the legendary outlaws that once roamed the Wild West.
North Korean sentenced to death after students caught watching Squid Game
North Korea has sentenced to death a man who smuggled and sold copies of the Netflix series “Squid Game” after authorities caught seven high school students watching the Korean-language global hit show, sources in the country told RFA. The smuggler is said to have brought a copy of Squid Game into North Korea back from China and sold USB flash drives containing the series. Sources said his sentence would be carried out by firing squad.
A student who bought a drive received a life sentence, while six others who watched the show have been sentenced to five years hard labor, and teachers and school administrators have been fired and face banishment to work in remote mines or themselves, the sources said.
They began spreading among the people on flash drives and SD cards.
“The friend told several other students, who became interested, and they shared the flash drive with them. They were caught by the censors in 109 Sangmu, who had received a tipoff,” said the source, referring to the government strike force that specializes in catching illegal video watchers, known officially as Surveillance Bureau Group 109.
The arrest of the seven students marks the first time that the government is applying the newly passed law on the “Elimination of Reactionary Thought and Culture,” in a case involving minors, according to the source. The law, promulgated last year, carries a maximum penalty of death for watching, keeping, or distributing media from capitalist countries, particularly from South Korea and the U.S.
“It means that the bloody winds of investigation and punishment will soon blow,” said the source, implying that a lengthy investigation would reveal the chain of distribution as each new person under investigation would be forced to tell where they got their copy from and who else they shared it with. Punishments will not stop with the smuggler and students who viewed the video, however, as others with no connection to the incident will also be held responsible, according to the source.
“The government is taking this incident very seriously, saying that the students’ education was being neglected. The Central Committee dismissed the school principal, their youth secretary, and their homeroom teacher,” the source said.
“They were also expelled from the party. It is certain that they will be sent to toil in coal mines or exiled to rural parts of the country, so other school teachers are all worrying that it could happen to them too if one of their students is also caught up in the investigation,” said the source.
“The residents are all trembling in fear because they will be mercilessly punished for buying or selling memory storage devices, no matter how small,” said the second source, who requested anonymity to speak freely. “But regardless of how strict the government’s crackdown seems to be, rumors are circulating that among the seven arrested students, one with rich parents was able to avoid punishment because they bribed the authorities with U.S. $3,000,” the second source said.
An August 2019 Washington Post report documented how certain South Korean media are considered dangerous by North Korean authorities because they encourage people to escape. K-pop and American pop music has had an instrumental role in undermining North Korean propaganda, it said.
It also cited a survey of 200 North Korean escapees living in South Korea, in which 90 percent said they consumed foreign media while living in the North, with 75 percent saying they knew of someone who was punished for it. More than 70 percent said they believed that accessing foreign media became more dangerous since Kim Jong Un took power in 2011, said the survey by South Korea’s Unification Media Group.
Report casts doubt on claim a North Korean was sentenced to death for smuggling 'Squid Game'
NK News sought to debunk a recent story that said smuggled copies of the South Korean hit show were spreading in North Korea despite strict censorship of foreign media. The publisher was Radio Free Asia (RFA), a US government-funded nonprofit news service focusing on Asian countries.
Citing unnamed sources in both cases, RFA also published an update Tuesday saying that a North Korean man was sentenced to death for smuggling after students were caught watching the hit drama. The news was widely reported by other news outlets, including Insider.
But on Thursday NK News — a South Korea-based news service focused on reporting on the neighboring state — published an analysis in which border experts said it is "highly unlikely" the show could have made it into North Korea.
The defector said that border security was so tight during the pandemic he did not believe it could happen. Ishimaro Jiro, founder of news site Asia Press Rimjingang, also told NK News that smuggling activity in some border cities had been hit hard by the state's tightened border controls. He said there was a "less than 1% chance" the show came in on a SD card or a USB flash drive, as RFA's sources had said.
He also said that the timeframe for a death sentence was too short, given the recent release of the show. The man's arrest, trial and execution "probably wouldn't all happen in just two months in North Korea," he said. (RFA did not say that the execution had taken place yet.). Other aspects of the timing did not make sense, NK News said. Reacting to RFA's report that the show came in by sea, NK News pointed to the prohibitively long time it takes goods to pass through ports, given current COVID restrictions.
An analysis by NK News of the port of Nampho found the average time taken for goods to be disinfected and pass through was two months — longer than "Squid Game" has been out. Insider spoke to two North Korea specialists from the SOAS in the UK, who concurred that North Korea's security has become increasingly tight, but also said that some items can get through.
"It will be more difficult now, but not impossible as [shows] come in on USB sticks," said Prof. Hazel Smith, a research associate at the SOAS Centre of Korean Studies. She said it is "plausible" that "Squid Game" is being watched in North Korea, but not likely that it's widespread. Ultimately, Hoare told Insider, it wasn't easy to say either way whether RFA's story held weight or whether it could be debunked.
Reporting on North Korea is notoriously difficult, as the secretive dictatorship prohibits a free press and lets few journalists into the country. Unlike in countries with a free media, unnamed sources are the norm, Hoare said.
Experts doubt that ‘Squid Game’ has been smuggled into North Korea

More Info on Klaus -
What We Know - Klaus Schwab is an 83 year old German engineer, philanthropist, and environmental and economical lobbyist and global power broker of the highest order. He is best known as the founder and head of the World Economic Forum, known also by the nickname “Davos” for being located in Davos, Switzerland. The WEF, or Davos, today is one of the largest, wealthiest, and most influential international lobbying groups on the planet, constantly at the forefront of the new global “left-wing progressive movement.” When it comes to trying to dominate the conversation and relabel things for personal benefit, this is the guy. Whenever a global decision is being made in the hallowed halls of the European aristocracy, Davos and Klaus are there with billions and rakish tenacity.
Klaus tells us he was born in 1938 in Ravensberg, Germany, an extremely wealthy city in the South of Germany, by the Switzerland border. It was once an “Imperial Free City” which means it was given Imperial immediacy, which means it was very autonomous and wealthy, and was subordinate to nobody but the Emperor himself. It’s been a major trade hub in one of the wealthiest corners of Europe for centuries, maybe longer.
1938 was one year before things started really heating up with the events we now call WWII. Soon after, Klaus’ family escapes out of Germany back to Switzerland, where Klaus completes two years at an insanely expensive Swiss school before falling off the grid, then gets a quick education at an insanely expensive private highschool. By 23, Klaus has a mechanical engineer doctorate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, also known as ETH, a doctorate in economics from the University of Fribourg,[5] and a Master of Public Administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.[6]
He then disappears for 10 years, and reemerges in 1971 at the age of 33 (DING) to found the European Management Forum, which is today the World Economic Forum.
The following year, he’s given an honorary professorship at the University of Geneva, one of the most prestigious in the world. He marries a lady from an old Swiss family.
According to Aargauer Zeitung, as of 2019 Klaus Schwab is in the process of obtaining Swiss Citizenship. It says “Klaus Schwab is one of the very few in his family who does not have a Swiss passport: his two brothers are Swiss, and as far as his grandparents are concerned, three of the four people were Swiss citizens. Research into the family tree shows: his mother was from Zurich and his father was born in Roggwil (BE); for his part as the son of a Swiss mother and a father who at that time had himself expatriated in Germany in order to settle in Switzerland.
“When Hitler came to power in Germany, Schwab's father was asked to represent Swiss industrial interests in Germany, and so Schwab's parents moved to Ravensburg (D) despite the looming war. Klaus Schwab was born there a year before the outbreak of war. The family was monitored by the Gestapo, the Nazis' spy service, and his mother was even summoned once for the following "offense": She spoke Swiss German with her children. Perhaps that is also why, says Klaus Schwab, he felt Swiss as a child.”
It has been speculated that Klaus’ parents were Fred Schwab and Marienne Rothschild, both from very wealthy German families, who were living in Germany in 1938, the year Klaus was born. Fred and Marienne were both born and raised in Frankfurt, one of the richest places in Europe and the ancestral home of the Rothschild banking family.
Being of a similar age and elite class in the area, they likely grew up together in the area. We can assume their families were close, as members of this elite class inevitably attended the same social functions and schools, and likely had deeper historical ties known only to family and friends. Assuming that these old families go way back, they likely engage in a very exclusive marriage pool. They also had deep Swiss ties, as these wealthy families existed along the Swiss border and treated it as a second home as they Klaus does today.
Most sources I’ve found say Fred and Marienne were together by ‘38. Only the Holocaust Center Website makes the claim that Marienne didn’t become involved with Fred until after reconnecting with him in the USA after the war, which seems dubious. The Holocaust site also claims that Marienne was from a poor, struggling family who lived in ghettos, but her confirmed upbringing in the neighborhoods of the highest crusts of German society may beg to differ with such a claim.
Were these two the parents of Klaus, it would explain his trifecta love of Switzerland, Germany, and America, as evidenced by his education and his choices of residence.
If you look at pictures of Fred and Merienne, you definitely see the Klaus resemblance, so there’s that. https://i.4cdn.org/pol/1638221688815.jpg
If Fred and Marienne are indeed Klaus’ parents, it would confirm the corniest and most stereotypical fact that people would boohoo as a conspiracy: that Klaus is indeed a Rothschild descendant and a product of the European banking bloodlines. Not a huge surprise, but might as well put everything in the right folder.
