FOR YOUR REMOTE VIEWING PLEASURE
Astral Projection
People have reported having “out-of-body” experiences for as long as history can remember, but today the phenomenon is considered at best a medical mystery if not a ridiculed woo-woo impossibility. There is no mainstream category of science acknowledging the existence of astral projection, but there is some evidence that the US Government isn’t above dabbling into it themselves.
According to alleged declassified Top Secret documents, Astral Projection is being used by the CIA through Stanford to attempt to spy on our enemies. The documents were declassified by the Director of the National Security Agency (DIRNSA), their highest-ranking official.
Pat Price is one of the more well-known figures in the American military’s use of “remote viewing” and is the alleged subject discussed in the documents.
COOL AS MOJO
GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLIES
Cult American hero Mojo Nixon passed away during the Outlaw Country Cruise after a night of raucous rock and drink. He was 66.
🌙 Mojo Nixon, Unabashed Outlaw Cult Hero, Dead at 66
Mojo Nixon was full-tilt, wide-open rock hard, root hog, corner on two wheels + on fire. Passing after a blazing show, a raging night, closing the bar, taking no prisoners + a good breakfast with bandmates and friends. “A cardiac event on the Outlaw Country Cruise is about right… & that’s just how he did it, Mojo has left the building. Since Elvis is everywhere, we know he was waiting for him in the alley out back. Heaven help us all.”
Mojo and Skid Roper broke it in 187 with “Elvis is Everywhere”, and also became a MTV staple. Together they recorded six albums together.
Big support of free speech, went toe to toe with with Pat Buchanan during an appearance on CNN’s Crossfire in the 1990s.
Mojo quote “I firmly believe you can make fun of anything as long as your joke is funny. And I also believe that you can say anything, as long as you’re willing to suffer the consequences. We don’t need a thought police.”
born Neill Kirby McMillan Jr. Aug. 2, 1957, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, but grew up in Danville, Virginia. He cites hearing Arthur Conley’s “Sweet Soul Music” as the moment “Music claims his soul and Satan crawls up his butt”.
In the 70’s Nixon briefly moved to London to try to make it in the punk scene, before returning to the States and settling in Denver. He played in Zebra 123 that allegedly garnered the attention of the Secret Service for playing a gig called the “Assassination Ball” that featured a poster with the exploding heads of Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter.
Their breakthrough with “Elvis Is Everywhere” (on 1987’s Bo-Day-Shus!!!) not only earned Nixon and Roper regular play on MTV, but resulted in the network enlisting Nixon to film a bunch of promo spots. Soon, they were appearing on The Arsenio Hall Show and getting Wynona Ryder to star in the video for “Debbie Gibson Is Pregnant With My Two-Headed Love Child.” (MTV refused to play it.).
“People dismiss me as a novelty artist, or, ‘Oh, he’s a cartoon.’ And that’s fine,” Nixon told Rolling Stone, distilling the essence and appeal of his work. “I don’t want to be taken seriously. I’m a cult artist.”
🌙 Mojo Nixon 1957-2024 — Michael Elliott
Mojo Nixon, was a Southern boy like me who knew all about the fire and brimstone delivery of Baptist preachers in small country churches on stifling hot Sunday mornings.
A celebration of NASCAR, monster trucks, classic movies, Foghorn Leghorn, pre-Beatles rock’n’roll (Chuck Berry, Elvis, Jerry Lee), southern soul, John Lee Hooker, and Tom Jones.
Growing up close to the North Carolina/Virginia line Mojo understood not only southern soul and R&B but its coastal sub-genre, Carolina Beach music. And he took that knowledge and appreciation out to San Diego, LA, and eventually on to MTV, sometimes working it into his manic psychobilly rave-ups.
