Footage of David Depape attacking Paul Pelosi with a hammer at Pelosi's San Francisco residence on the morning of October 28th, 2022 has been released. Call-in interviews, police interrogations, and additional footage of the break-in are floating around on top of that. Additionally, there is the fascinating 911 call from Paul Pelosi, also made public. With a healthy deluge of available materials, it is worth looking into the strange assault which occurred at the former Speaker’s San Francisco residence, and why the Pelosi family was targeted at all.

DePape is facing attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary and other charges for the Oct. 28 attack in which he allegedly struck the speaker’s husband with a hammer, fracturing his skull.
He reportedly had a plan to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and potentially break “her kneecaps,” according to federal prosecutors. DePape also pleaded not guilty to federal charges last month as part of the Justice Department’s parallel case, according to the SF Chronicle (archive).
Depape has since called into KTVU Fox 2 and given them a little interview…

From the bodycam footage, we see police knocking on the door. They clarify the address and wait for a few seconds. The door opens electronically and by itself, and the cops are greeted by a fully-dressed Depape and a half-clothed Paul Pelosi. Pelosi’s right hand holds Depape’s wielded hammer, seemingly keeping it at a distance and restrained. In his left hand is what looks like a cocktail glass. Both give toothy smiles briefly before the cops begin asking questions. Suddenly, Depape turns on Pelosi and attacks him with the weapon. The cops rush Depape and subdue him, while you can see Pelosi is knocked out cold in a growing pool of blood. The cops call for reinforcements and medical, and the footage ends.
There is also footage of Depape breaking into the house by busting through a seemingly tough windowed wall with the infamous hammer.

Seems to be in an artist commune of some sort at Shasta St., Richmond

Depape’s Richmond address is also registered online to photographer Malcolm Lubliner.
After some digging, we find out it IS the famous photographer’s address! He was Depape’s landlord! The East Bay Times, who has written on Lubliner in the past, allegedly interviewed him and his friend Frank Ciccarelli at the Richmond house on Halloween Day 2022, as cited in the images below.
Lubliner has a storied career, including being a photographer in the Haight-Ashbury scene of 60’s San Francisco. He ran with Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, and all those types. He has long time connections with the area, and has certainly rubbed shoulders with the Pelosi family in the past.
Another Pelosi connection is the Getty family. The Los Angeles industrialist Getty family are old wealthy American dynasty friends with the San Francisco-based Pelosi clan. The families have been entwined for generations in a chapter of California history rife with inconvenient nepotistic truths. The Gettys themselves are perhaps most famous for the Getty Museum in LA, which boasts one of the most prestigious art and photography collections in the world. Getty Images also has perhaps the largest collection of digital media in the world. It is maybe only a sensual coincidence that in 2013, the Getty family, after nearly two decades of efforts, had purchased all of Malcolm Lubliner’s 60’s and 70’s work, the core staple of his career. They seem to love owning images pertaining to this guy… even the very images that may or may not be in these notes.
They are long time fans of his.
Again, with the Getty and Pelosi crew so tight, and a Bay Area photographer being one of Getty’s favorites, surely his name and likeness has been brought up before? Why was this guy housing a supposedly mentally-deranged full-grown man determined to injure his wealthy benefactors?
As for Lubliner’s friend Frank Ciccarelli, all I can find is this somewhat disturbing Instagram profile which I can tell mimics similar photographic styles of his friend Malcolm.
