A KON CITY

With Akon City, an entertainer wishes to usher in a new day and standard of living for future Senegalese and African generations.

Singer and producer Akon is allegedly building a city in Africa. In 2018, the country of Senegal allowed Akon to purchase 2,000 acres to develop an ambitious $6 billion futuristic multi-district city. Akon claims to be from Senegal, but his story changes between him growing up in poverty where his family was often without running water or power, and growing up rich in a three-story home in the USA stealing and flipping luxury cars. He says his new city will be “a real-life Wakanda” built on blockchain technology.

A quick summary of Akon’s life…

Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam was born in 1973 in St Louis to a scholarly Muslim family.
In high school, his parents left both him and his brother to live on their own in a three-story house in Jersey City. While attending William L Dickinson High School, Akon became involved in a luxury car theft ring.
During this time, he involved himself with the local music scene. For his first ten years in the biz, Akon clawed his way through the R&B scene being mentored by certain members of the Fugees.
After graduating high school, he moved to Atlanta with his remaining family where continued to steal cars and make music.
He primarily wrote and produced his first record Trouble released June 2004. The album and it’s reception impressed Jimmy Iovine of Interscope, who took him on and gave him a small label.
His second album released, Konvicted, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 in 2006 and went on to be 6x Platinum. The big single from the Album, “Smack That”, is maybe the highest selling ringtone in history (back when people did that).
Since that album, Akon has continued to work intermittently in the music business as a producer and artist. However, he switches his focus from music to another priority… Philanthropy

Akon founded Akon Lighting Africa in 2014 with the intention of providing electricity to rural areas of Africa. According to his website, he received a $1 billion in credit from the Chinese government to build solar panels and lamps in 15 African countries. The site has gone dark since 2016. However, Akon has said that he would seek an additional $5 billion and continue his work. Quoting him, June of 2015 he said, “One problem with Africans… is that they often lack unity and are hesitant to think about the future. Everything is based on today, so I hate to say it as an African, but I kind of use it to my advantage to get the contracts.”

His ambitions only begin there. The crowning jewel and life’s work… Akon City. With multiple districts, this thing wants to be BIG. Housing, restaurants, learning centers, television and music studios, libraries, hospitals, and more.

What it looks like today

There are others in Africa also trying to grift new cities together as well.

⭐ The Isolation of Natural Products: Morphine and Other Alkaloids

Plant Protections - Plants produce a wide range of small molecules primarily as chemical defenses against predators and competition, and many of these compounds can also be useful to humans as medicines. Alkaloids fit into this broader class of plant chemicals and scientists in the 19th century were already beginning to suspect that specific molecular substances were responsible for medicinal effects.
Morpheus - Chromatography had not yet been developed, making it difficult to determine whether a chemical product was truly pure or just a mixture. A major breakthrough came in 1804 when Friedrich Sertürner isolated morphine from opium poppy pods, showing that an active medicinal ingredient could be extracted, purified, and used more reliably to treat severe pain.
Clinical Trials - Sertürner’s early experiments isolated morphine from opium and helped prove it was the plant’s active analgesic ingredient. The trials were crude and dangerous, involving dogs, a mouse, and several young human volunteers who experienced narcosis, vomiting, and stomach pain, but they ultimately confirmed morphine’s powerful effects and marked a milestone in pharmacy history.
Mom and Pop Pharma - Morphine production rose, from Sertürner’s pharmacy to industrial manufacturing at Emanuel Merck’s facilities in Darmstadt, where the company expanded into a major pharmaceutical and research enterprise. Morphine gave rise to powerful opioid derivatives such as heroin, codeine, and hydrocodone, while broadening into the wider world of alkaloids.

⭐ Quinine and the Birth of the Dye Industry

Bad Air - Malaria is a deadly mosquito-borne disease caused by Plasmodium falciparum and transmitted by infected Anopheles mosquitoes. The disease brings intermittent fevers, long-term weakness and anemia, and the severe brain complications that can make acute cases fatal, with some historians linking its prevalence to the fall of Rome.
Gummy Masses - Jesuit missionaries introduced cinchona bark from Peru to Europe after learning that Indigenous communities used it to treat recurring fevers later identified as malaria. European demand drove overharvesting, colonial competition, and efforts to control production, until chemists isolated quine in 1820 and developed it into the first major industrial malaria treatment, saving millions of lives.
Alternative Means - Quinine became a strategic global commodity as demand surged for malaria protection during European expansion in Africa, but early efforts to synthesize it failed because chemists did not yet understand complex molecular structure. Later advances such as stereochemical theory helped reveal why molecular formulas alone were not enough to explain biological activity.
Ignorance Is Bliss - August Wilhelm von Hofmann, director of the Royal College of Chemistry in London, attempted to synthesize quine using an incorrect molecular formula and a theory based on hydrating alpha-naphthylamine. The plan was later undermined when Adolf Strecker published the correct formula for quine, showing that Hofmann’s proposed pathway was chemically implausible and leaving sponsors frustrated by the lack of results.
Perks of Being A Perkins - William Perkin, an 18-year-old chemistry student with a background in music, accidentally discovered the first synthetic dye while attempting to synthesize quine. His failed experiment produced a vivid purple substance, later called mauveine, which he learned to manufacture and sell with his father, sparking a major commercial success and transforming the dye industry. Queen Victoria’s adoption of the color helped make mauve a fashion sensation across Europe, ushering in the “Mauve Decade.”
Rise of Big Pharma - Perkin’s accidental discovery helped launch the aniline dye industry, which rapidly expanded into a major chemical business in Germany with companies like BASF, Hoechst, and Bayer. Once the dye market became saturated, these firms redirected their large chemistry teams toward synthetic drugs, helping establish the modern pharmaceutical industry around the turn of the 20th century.

🌙 William Henry Perkin

Perkins accidently created mauve, or aniline purple while trying to synthesize quinine. Chemicals derived of coal tar were used in this process. The resulting failure stained his clothes artificially purple and he later convinced his father to go into business with him creating synthetic dyes.

Perkins brought purple to the masses. “Purple became the height of fashion in Paris and London in the late 1850s to early 1860s, and the frenzy over mauve became known as ‘mauveine measles’. Even Queen Victoria was not exempt from the excitement, appearing in 1862 at the International Exhibition wearing a silk dress coloured by mauveine. Wife of Napoleon III, Empress Eugenie wore mauveine-dyed dresses to state functions.”

The mayor of a Los Angeles suburb resigned Monday, as U.S. officials announced that she will plead guilty in federal court to acting as an illegal agent for the Chinese government.

Federal prosecutors announced Monday that Eileen Wang, 58, of Arcadia, Calif., has been charged with one count of acting in the U.S. as an illegal agent of a foreign government and is “expected to plead guilty in the coming weeks.” The charge is punishable with up to 10 years in prison.

“Mayor Wang admitted to acting as a foreign agent from at least 2020 through 2022 - promoting PRC propaganda in the U.S. and acting at PRC’s direction to promote their interests,” FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X. “FBI and our federal partners continue to move aggressively to root out this kind of influence in American institutions all over the country.”

Wang was elected in November 2022 to the five-member Arcadia City Council, where the mayor is selected on a rotating basis. City Manager Dominic Lazzaretto said in a statement Monday that Wang, who became mayor in February, has resigned from the council.

“The allegations at the center of this case, that a foreign government sought to exert influence over a local elected official, are deeply troubling,” Lazzaretto said, though he clarified that the charge against Wang is for actions that ended after her swearing-in, and that, after an internal review, the council can confirm that no Arcadia City finances, staff, or decision-making processes were involved.

In a statement to the Courthouse News Service, Wang’s attorney Brian Sun said that the California politician “apologizes and is sorry for the mistakes she has made in her personal life,” adding: “Her love and devotion for the Arcadia community have not changed and did not waver.”

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has a track record of attempting to influence other countries’ affairs to advance its interests. It has meddled in elections, targeted overseas Chinese dissidents, and conducted information and propaganda campaigns, according to government and journalistic reports.

“Individuals in our country who covertly do the bidding of foreign governments undermine our democracy,” said First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli in the Monday announcement, adding that the plea agreement Wang has entered into is “the latest success in our determination to defend the homeland against China’s efforts to corrupt our institutions.”

Here’s what to know.

Who is Eileen Wang?

Eileen Wang is a Chinese immigrant. According to a 2024 report in the Los Angeles Times, Wang said she moved to Southern California from China three decades ago. Wang told the paper that her mother was a Chinese medicine and acupuncture doctor, while her father was a physician in Sichuan province before working at the University of Southern California.

The LA Times report added that Wang, a mother of two, had been based in Arcadia for about two decades, and was mainly known for running an after-school program in the city called Little Stanford Academy before entering politics. About 59% of Arcadia’s 54,000 population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, is Asian, while over 42% is ethnically Chinese.

Wang is the former fiancée of Yaoning “Mike” Sun, who was sentenced to four years in federal prison earlier this year for similarly acting as a covert agent for China, including, according to the U.S. Justice Department at the time, while he was serving as a campaign adviser for an unnamed candidate “who was elected to the city council of a Southern California city.” Sun was Wang’s former campaign adviser.

Wang’s case

The charge against Wang was filed on April 1, but court filings, including the plea agreement Wang entered into, were unsealed on Monday.

According to the unsealed plea agreement, from late 2020 through at least 2022, Wang “coordinated with U.S.-based individuals” for the purpose of “promoting pro-PRC propaganda in the United States.”

Wang is alleged to have worked with Sun, her then-fiancé, to run a website called U.S. News Center that purported to be a news source for Chinese-Americans. According to the agreement, the two “received and executed directives” from Chinese government officials to post and circulate pro-PRC content on the site.

The document cites examples. In June 2021, after a Chinese government official contacted Wang and other individuals via messaging platform WeChat about a pre-written essay on Xinjiang, she posted it on her site and received a “thank you” from the official. In August, Wang addressed a Chinese official’s request for edits to the article; then she sent the official a screenshot of the number of views that article had amassed. After the official replied, “Great!” Wang allegedly responded: “Thank you leader.”

In November 2021, Wang communicated with John Chen, who was sentenced in November 2024 to 20 months in federal prison for acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese government in the U.S. and bribing a tax authority agent. Chen, according to court documents, previously attended high-level CCP functions, and had personally met Chinese President Xi Jinping. The plea agreement said that Wang asked Chen to share an article from her website, saying, “This is what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to send.”

Wang admitted in the plea agreement that she did not notify the Attorney General that she was acting in the U.S. as an agent of China, as is required by law, and that she did not disclose that content posted on her website were based on orders from Chinese authorities.

Chinese espionage

The FBI’s website says that China employs “tactics that seek to influence lawmakers and public opinion to achieve policies that are more favorable” to them and called counterintelligence and economic espionage efforts from the Chinese government and the CCP a “grave threat to the economic well-being and democratic values of the United States.”

In 2025, the House Committee on Homeland Security issued a report that found more than 60 cases of Chinese espionage or repression in the U.S. since 2021, including sending sensitive U.S. military information to the Chinese government, stealing trade secrets, and carrying out transnational repression schemes including setting up undercover Chinese police stations–which it has reportedly done worldwide.

In April, the White House also accused China of stealing on an “industrial scale” the intellectual property of U.S. artificial intelligence labs, as both countries race to become global leaders of AI. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R, Iowa) said in a statement last month that China steals between $400 billion and $600 billion of IP yearly, or about $5,000 per taxpayer.

China has routinely refuted interference, espionage, and theft accusations. It also denied that it had overseas police stations that collect information on and harass Chinese dissidents living in the U.S. and elsewhere, claiming instead that it had service centers for citizens abroad.

Running The Lab

10am Feb 27 2026, retired Major General William Neil MacCasland was at home meeting with a repairman. When his wife arrived at the house two hours later, he was gone. His hiking boots, wallet, and a .38 caliber revolver were missing, but his phone, glasses, and watch remained. Later his wife told the police that she thought he didn’t want to be found.
Police searched for 3 weeks, at times using a helicopter, but he was never found.
The police issued a silver alert, treating him like an incapable elderly man.
In 2016 as part of the Podesta email scandal Wikileaks dropped an email sent by to Podesta by Tom Delonge of Blink-182 alleging that General MacCasland aided in the coverup of Roswell as head of the research laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (88 ABW), one of the most historied pieces of land in aviation. The Wright Brothers used the field in 1904-05 to test their Flyer III, the first real airplane ever built, the first to ever carry a passenger, and the first to be considered for military use. An ancient native mound can be found at the base, miraculously never excavated.

Grillmair’s remarkable achievement was detecting indications of water on a distant planet orbiting around a star different from the sun. Finding signs of life on another planet has been “a quest for all of humanity” throughout history.
11 days before General MacCasland disappeared, 11 hours away, Carl Grillmair was shot and killed on his front porch at his home outside Los Angeles. Authorities arrested a suspect who they don’t believe knew Grillmair, according to KABC.

She was well-known in the local hunting and archery scene. Jose Mondragon, Melissa’s father, said that his daughter was a “strong gal” who “can survive up in the wilderness for days”.
Melissa was last seen on the 26th of June. She dropped off her husband at the Laboratory for his shift at around 6:15 AM. However, Melissa noticed that she forgot her ID badge - she decided to work remotely from the family home in Taos. Mark told her that he was going to need the car by about 11 AM, and Melissa said that she will bring it back at that hour as usual.
Sierra woke up at around 7:30 AM, and said that Melissa came home about 15 minutes later. When Sierra asked why Melissa was home, she replied that she forgot her badge, which Sierra accepted. As Sierra got ready to leave for work, nothing about Melissa seemed off to her.
Around 12:30 PM, Melissa picked up lunch for Sierra at a Subway store and drove it to a cafe in Taos Plaza where Sierra worked. The two talked briefly between 12:50 and 12:57; Sierra gave Melissa a check to drop off at the bank for her. Sierra said that Melissa was “a little quiet” but overall seemed normal.
Worried, Mark contacted Sierra around 1:30 PM to ask his daughter if she was in contact with Melissa. When she said yes, he asked her if she could ask Melissa if she will pick him up from work or if he has to find a different ride. Sierra sent Melissa a screenshot of the message - Melissa has allegedly seen it, but she didn’t reply. Sierra assumed that Melissa would call and didn’t think much after that.
Sierra left work at 3:30 PM and came straight home. The main doors were closed, and Melissa’s car was parked in front of the house. When she entered, Sierra saw Melissa’s work phone and keys on the table. She decided to search the house; In her mother’s office, she found Melissa’s purse, personal phone and wallet. Both phones have been wiped. Mark was dropped off by a coworker at 5 PM. He reported his wife missing around that time.
Melissa’s disappearance was seen as unusual by her family - they had a family trip to a lake planned over the weekend that the mother and daughter were especially excited about, and Melissa was supposed to take her mother to the hospital for a knee replacement surgery on the 30th.
Sierra and Mark believe that Melissa left on her own volition, possibly due to stress, as she allegedly has a tendency to “bottle things up”. They also believe that Melissa lied about forgetting the badge in the morning, as Mark said that he saw her swiping it when she drove him to work - it seems like she had to use it to get into the parking lot. Mark and Sierra have been going through Melissa’s documents after she went missing and discovered that she was “going through a huge, huge, huge amount of stress” they didn’t know about and that there was a lot of “crumbling down” on her. They didn’t specify what kind of trouble Melissa was in.

We support a few around here, or at least entertain, with the idea that life is bizarre and the answer to big questions are often bizarre, so why limit yourself?

Blood moon coming up!

When the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, a solar eclipse happens. When the Moon enters Earth’s umbra — the darkest part of the shadow — the full Moon can take on a reddish-orange hue, sunlight filtering through Earth’s atmosphere, showing red wavelengths on the lunar surface. How Airlines Quietly Became Banks

Airlines - What Are They?

Flying sucks these days. Commercial air travel is stressful, physically demanding, unreliable, dangerous, frustrating, and expensive. The average person shells out big bucks for even the cheapest airfare, and basic amenities of years past disappear more and more. Seats shrink smaller to fit more bodies and more revenue. Less food, less drinks, less comfort. Yet somehow the plane is the best part of an experience that begins and ends with the authoritarian dystopia of getting through an airport.

The Airline Industry has always been complicated and volatile. Commercial air travel itself is merely a hundred years old at best, and in many ways is still experimental. The world’s first passenger and commercial airline began in June 1910, operating Zeppelin airships. American Airlines began in the 1930’s after the original company bought up at least 82 other smaller airlines. Today, the airline companies themselves are strange behemoths who don’t seem to take any joy from their primary purpose. Similar to Apple becoming a lawsuit company that also makes phones, airlines today are turning into banks that also fly people.

The government lockdowns of 2020 crippled (and in some cases destroyed) every facet of society at the economic level, and airlines as a rule took one of the hardest hits. To weather the bureaucratic storm, airlines began searching for loans to support them while everyone was being detained at home. One such instance was United, a publicly traded company. 🧑‍✈️

✈️ Airlines 1 - The Early Days

In 2020, these airlines had a market cap of…

United (UAL) ~ $10 billion
Delta (DAL) ~ $20 Billion
American (AAL) ~ $6 Billion

As of August 2025, they now have a cap of…

United ~ $33 Billion
Delta ~ $39 Billion
American ~ $9 Billion

In 2020, United was valued at 10 Billion. However, through public declarations having to do with securing a massive loan, their loyalty program was shown to be worth $21 Billion. So the value of the actual airline was less than the value of their loyalty programs. Therefore…

The cost of flying people is too expensive to make a profit
In 2018, American Airlines made 14.42 cents per passenger flown / 14.85 cents operating cost per mile - losing about half a cent per flyer

“I work for one of the big three airlines. During our last bankruptcy they liquidated our pension. They said they had no assets of value to keep it funded. Our union pointed out that the loyalty program was worth billions. They disagreed saying it had no value that they could use to leverage any money from. GENOCIDE, THE MOON LANDING, HORNY GHOSTS

On this day in 1969 (July 21), Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the lunar surface, marking a new chapter in the history of mankind’s accomplishment. However, not everyone believes the official story, and some go so far as to suggest the footage from the Apollo 11 landing was faked. Who would be technically savvy enough to produce such a fabrication? Kubrick would lead to you to believe it was himself, and he’d like to enlighten you to the true nature of the American government with a film called The Shining.

Oct 1957 - Russia launches Sputnik I. The Space Race begins.
Sept 1962 - JFK says we will send a man to the moon by 1970.
Nov 1963 - CIA kills JFK, rips off his legacy to promote policy.
Jan 1964 - Dr. Strangelove is released in theaters. Satirizing the American gov and military, Kubrick is hailed a genius.
Feb 1967 - Apollo 1 testing ends in disaster, killing all 3 astronauts aboard. Congress hits NASA with additional oversight and bad press.
April 1968 - 2001: A Space Odyssey is released in theaters.
July 1969 - Apollo 11 launches, two Americans walk on the moon.
Dec 1975 - Barry Lyndon is released in theaters. The film is shot by Kubrick with super-rare lenses developed for NASA.

- Likely a proof of concept, maybe unwitting, or a direct result of Kubrick directing the Apollo 11 moon landing footage.
- We may have gone to the Moon in the summer of 1969, but they may not have been able to livestream footage back to Earth, and therefore manufactured the footage (as they did heavily in WWII).

THE LENSES KUBRICK OBTAINED

In the early 1970’s, Stanley Kubrick used rare f/0.7 camera lenses manufactured by Carl Zeiss to shoot the candlelight-only scenes in Barry Lyndon. Only ten of these lenses were ever made; Zeiss kept one, three were sold to Kubrick and six to NASA. It is rumored that these lenses were designed specifically for the Apollo program, and that Kubrick’s first lens was gifted to him by NASA. The lens one of the largest relative aperture (fastest) lenses in history, designed to absorb as much light as possible for use in space photography.

The Las Vegas Massacre: A Tragic Mystery - Morbid Kuriosity April 2024

The Las Vegas Massacre went down on October 1, 2017. It is the deadliest domestic mass shooting in US history to date. The official story says 64-year-old Stephen Paddock checked into two connecting suites on the 32nd-floor suite of the Mandalay Bay hotel with 33 firearms and shot 1,000 rounds of ammunition into a nearby country music festival, killing 60 and wounding hundreds. When SWAT responded, Paddock was discovered alone and lifeless in his room, seemingly having shot himself. Despite exhaustive investigations, no motive has ever been officially determined, leaving many unanswered questions.

To add to the confusion, piles of eye-witness testimonies and handheld video footage have emerged since the event, contradicting the official narrative.

Stephen Paddock’s life as we have been piecing together was a complex narrative marked by financial success, gambling addiction, and a potentially brewing vendetta against the casino industry. A former postal worker and tax auditor, in the 1980s Paddock embarked on a lucrative journey into real estate investment, amassing considerable wealth, rumored to have approached $10 million. Partnering with his brother, he dealt in owning small apartment buildings, a venture that proved highly profitable. Paddock also had a passion for high-stakes gambling, particularly video poker. He leveraged payout ratios and casino comps programs to gain an edge over the house, effectively mitigating losses and turning modest profit. He successfully managed to be a professional gambler with his sushi comped.

As the years progressed, Paddock’s focus shifted almost exclusively to his gambling pursuits, with travel and a girlfriend occupying his personal life. Yet, a shift in the casino industry’s landscape, characterized by tightening comp programs and increased competition due to the legalization of gambling in more states, signaled trouble on the horizon. The erosion of the advantages that once bolstered Paddock’s gambling exploits left him vulnerable to substantial losses. Despite mounting financial setbacks and indications of gambling addiction, Paddock persisted in his habits, often accompanied by heavy drinking during extended casino sessions. His downward spiral culminated in the tragic events of October 1, 2017, when he unleashed a hail of bullets upon innocent concertgoers from his Mandalay Bay hotel suite, before ultimately taking his own life.

Between October 2016 and September 2017, Stephen Paddock acquired a total of 33 firearms, mostly rifles, over an 11-month period, according to a spokesperson for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. In August, during the Lollapalooza Music Festival held from August 3-6 in Grant Park, Chicago, a person using the name Stephen Paddock reserved a room at the Blackstone Hotel, which overlooks the festival grounds. However, the individual associated with this reservation never checked into the hotel, as confirmed by Emmy Carragher, a spokeswoman for Wagstaff Worldwide Media, representing the hotel. In mid-September, Hurricane Irma struck Florida. During this time, Stephen Paddock contacted his brother Eric and their mother, who lived in Florida, to inquire about their well-being and access to electricity. Eric Paddock disclosed that Stephen conversed with their mother over the phone, expressing concern about her mobility issues. As a result, he arranged for the delivery of a walker to assist her.

On September 28th, Paddock checks into a suite on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, with uninterrupted views of the Las Vegas Strip and the adjacent festival grounds. Throughout September 28 to October 1, Paddock transports over 10 suitcases to his suite, with housekeepers reportedly observing nothing out of the ordinary during their visits. Inside his hotel room, Paddock arranges at least 23 weapons, including rifles equipped with scopes, along with 12 “bump-fire stocks” designed to accelerate the rate of fire. Surveillance measures are also implemented, with cameras installed within the suite, hallway, and door peephole, potentially used for monitoring individuals approaching his room.

On September 29, a three-day country music concert called the Route 91 Harvest Festival begins at the Las Vegas Village across the street from the Mandalay Bay.

On Sunday, October 1, at 9:40 p.m., country star Jason Aldean takes the stage as the headliner.
Just before 10:00 p.m., Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino security guard Jesus Campos is struck by gunfire in the leg while responding to an alarm in a separate incident on the 32nd floor.
At precisely 10:05 p.m., Stephen Paddock shatters two windows of his suite using a hammer and unleashes an assault on 22,000 concert attendees below. Gunfire reverberates through local feeds within the concert venue, causing confusion that escalates into panic.
By 10:12 p.m., two courageous Las Vegas police officers ascend to the 31st floor of the Mandalay Bay, radioing in their proximity to the source of the automatic gunfire emanating from the floor above.
At 10:15 p.m., Paddock fires his final shots.
Within minutes, at 10:17 p.m., the first two officers arrive on the 32nd floor.
Between 10:26 and 10:30 p.m., an additional eight officers join their colleagues on the 32nd floor. With no active gunfire heard, they proceed down the hallway, methodically clearing rooms while remaining vigilant for any indication that the shooter may have fortified himself inside.
At 10:55 p.m., the officers reach the stairwell closest to Paddock’s suite at the north end of the hallway. Upon noticing surveillance cameras positioned on a room service cart, they elect to retreat and await the arrival of a SWAT team.
By 11:20 p.m., SWAT officers utilize an explosive device to breach the door to Paddock’s suite, discovering his lifeless body on the floor, the apparent result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Notably, one of the suite’s bedroom doors remains closed at this time.
At 11:27 p.m., the SWAT team employs another explosive charge to gain access to the closed bedroom, confirming the absence of any additional suspects. An officer communicates via radio that the primary suspect is incapacitated.

According to official sources, Paddock acted alone, without clear intention. He brought a lot of rifles and barely any ammo. Why?

Sheriff Joe Lombardo, who oversaw public relations (or lack thereof) on the shooting, would go on to become Governor of Nevada.

Police Chief John Pelletier, who was in charge of LVPD on the night, would go on to be police chief of Maui when the Lahaina fires occurred. He is now under investigation for getting mixed up in a P. Diddy sexual assault years ago in Vegas.

A NICE STORY

We go back in time to May 2017. Trump has just cleared his first year in office, and pays a visit to one of the most powerful forces on Earth, the Saudi Royal Family. For decades, the Saudi family has dominated the global oil market under the guise of OPEC, and has garnered one of the greatest private fortunes of all time. As they control the price of gas and oil, secretly fund terrorist groups in the Middle East, and hold out as one of the the most conservative and restrictive states in the world, the Saudi family trajectory is of vital importance among the world’s top players, including the United States and its interests.

However, disaster looms on the horizon for the family with the emergence of fracking and shale oil. In a bid to bankrupt the burgeoning fracking industry and maintain control over the oil market, Saudi Arabia floods it with cheap oil, driving prices to historic lows. However, they underestimate the massive supply provided by fracking, particularly within the USA. Saudi Arabia turns instead to political influence, leveraging its financial resources to lobby against fracking regulations and support anti-fracking campaigns. Their efforts ultimately fail. The discovery of vast shale reserves in North America further compounded Saudi Arabia’s woes, exposing the fragility of its economic model. Faced with this existential threat, King Salman realizes the need for a strategic pivot.

President Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia in May 2017 is met with unprecedented warmth by King Salman. Trump is heaped upon with honors and praise. This marked a stark contrast to the somewhat hostile reception received by President Obama, hinting at a significant shift in Saudi-American relations. Following Trump’s visit, Saudi Arabia initiated a wave of reforms, including the landmark decision to allow women to drive, showing a move to openness and progressivism by the kingdom.

The May 2017 meeting between Trump and King Salman was not merely a diplomatic nicety; it was a high-stakes business negotiation. In exchange for American assistance in modernizing Saudi Arabia’s economy and diversifying its revenue streams, Trump demanded reforms and an end to Saudi Arabia’s clandestine support for extremist groups. The deal is struck, and the results are swift. Women were granted newfound freedoms, ISIS saw its stronghold crumble, and Saudi Arabia began the process of weaning itself off oil dependency. It was a seismic shift in the kingdom’s trajectory, facilitated by the convergence of geopolitical interests and economic imperatives.

The events of May 2017 marked a turning point in Saudi Arabia’s history. As power shifts within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), dissent brews among certain factions of the royal family. Not all royals are onboard with the progressive reforms spearheaded by King Salman, particularly those aimed at liberalizing the kingdom. Leading this opposition is none other than the former Deputy Crown Prince, Muqrin, and his son, Mansour.

September and October are some of the best times to travel. Around this time in Las Vegas in 2017, the top four floors of Mandalay Bay are booked by an anonymous VIP guest, who is rumoured to be a member of the Saudi royal family, perhaps even the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman himself. His father the king is far away in Russia, facilitating the modernization of their kingdom by investing in Eastern Europe, buying weapons, and getting friendly with Putin.

A few floors below, Stephen Paddock acts as a contact man supplying weapons for what he believes to be a routine gun deal. The many rifles and relatively small stockpile of ammo lends itself to the scene of a gun deal. Little does he know that the weapons cache on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay is strategically positioned to facilitate a swift and deadly assault on the floors above. Barricaded entry points and advance teams poised for action underscore the meticulous planning behind the operation. Under self installed surveillance in his suite, Paddock initiates the deal.

If one were to assume the buyers were assassins hired by forces within the Saudi family, who is the seller? Who was Paddock’s connection to the family? Who was he working for?

Something goes wrong. The Saudi Royal VIP is not at the Mandalay Bay hotel. Disguised in ordinary clothes, the Saudi Prince plays cards at the Tropicana. A panic rises as assassins cannot find him.

Intelligence agencies intercept chatter regarding the Prince’s whereabouts. Swift action is taken as agents storm the Tropicana and extract him. Men armed with military grade weapons operate through the labyrinthian casinos, aiming their rifles at innocent bystanders as if in a life-and-death scenario.

The scale of the assassination is big, with an estimated army numbering at least twenty, posing a formidable challenge to law enforcement efforts to neutralize the threat. In the shadows of Mandalay Bay, a deadly game of cat and mouse unfolds, with lives hanging in the balance and the fate of a kingdom at stake.

In the end, who knows what truly happened? This story may not be true, only a hypothesis.

Silver coins have been minted since the times of Ancient Greece, the most famous being drachma. British pennies were made of silver until 1797.

In colonial America, the most common silver coin was a Spanish piece of eight. Spain’s discovery of the New World put them at an advantage for a long time, and for 150 years Spain was a dominant factor in developing what we now call “international trade”. Thanks to the Spanish silver dollar’s uniformity, consistency, and quality, it became the world’s first “international currency” and the standard to inspire all money created in North and South America, and many others around the world including Japan and China. The $ sign allegedly comes from this coin, but there is a lot of debate around that, insinuating that the design is of some secret occult origin, probably Masonic-adjacent.

150 years later, in the 1750’s, is when they switched to paper money.

Tobacco was not perfect as money. It ultimately did rot, was inconsistent in quality, and bulky and expensive to transport in real exchange.

Meanwhile, further north, pelts were used as legal tender and medium of exchange.

🪙 Money 4 - Country Pay

“Country payments” were exceptions made when any farm produce or product could be used as legal tender to pay debts and taxes. Some salaries were paid in corn, which at one point was worth six shillings per bushel.

A shilling was a silver coin .925 (sterling) standard, minted at 66 shillings to the troy pound. Hence, newly minted shillings weighed 2⁄11 troy ounce, or 5.655 grams, or 1/5th of an ounce.

Silver in April 2025 is around $30 dollars an ounce, so a shilling today would be around $6. NOTE: Five years ago silver was trading around $15-$17, half the price now.

… So corn used to be $36 a bushel.

In 2025, according to recent projections, corn is valued at $4.60 per bushel.

A bushel is essentially a large bucket. The word Old French boise, meaning "little butt".

Corn has gotten a little cheaper! Back then, it was a valuable commodity used as country pay.

In fact, according to this professor at ASU, Harvard College was financed with corn and other forms of country pay, and tuition could be paid in this way as well.

The United States was a pioneer in paper money. Only China and a few select other instances note any earlier use of state-issued paper currency.

In Serbia, right now, massive protests are taking place all over the country. On March 15th, 2025, an estimated one million people descended upon the streets of Belgrade in a massive rally.

Footage from the rally shows people standing during 15 minutes of silence, when suddenly a whooshing sound immediately triggers panic and a brief stampede. An Associated Press photographer at the scene said people started scrambling for cover, leaving the middle of the downtown street almost empty as they started falling over each other. Those exposed to the weapon experience sharp ear pain, disorientation and panic.

The weaponization of sound has been adopted by police and military forces around the world. The use of sonic weapons is legal in the United States, and the NYPD have a record of using it for protests. In 2014, the NYPD used LRADs (Long Range Acoustic Devices) on BLM protestors, years before they became mainstream in 2020. Sonic devices may seem less violent than tear gas, rubber bullets, batons, and other “non-violent” methods of mob dispersal, but as the technology develops, so does the lethality.

Sound has a strange power capable of doing many things to a human body. It can make someone dance or go deaf. Sound can take you somewhere in your mind, even drive you to tears. Used with enough force, it can cause headaches and even stop the heart.

In certain conditions, it can even move and alter matter. Liquids and solids alike can be reformed with certain frequencies on certain instruments, such as sand on a Chladni Plate.

Novi Sad, Serbia: On November 1st 2024, the canopy of the Novi Sad railway station collapsed, killing 14 people and leaving three with injuries; one of the injured died on November 17th 2024 and another would die later, on March 21st 2025. The collapse led to widespread public concern in Serbia, with many questioning the structural integrity and maintenance oversight of public infrastructure. Authorities launched an investigation into the causes of the incident, but public frustration grew due to lack of accountability in the response.The station building was constructed in 1964, and was renovated from 2021 to mid-2024 with support from China's Belt and Road Initiative. The official cause of the collapse is still under investigation with government corruption and opaque dealings with Chinese contractors blamed.

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI or B&R), known in China as the One Belt One Road, also known as the New Silk Road, is a global infrastructure development strategy adopted by the government of the People's Republic of China in 2013 to invest in more than 150 countries and international organizations.

The BRI is composed of six urban development land corridors linked by road, rail, energy, and digital infrastructure and the Maritime Silk Road linked by the development of ports. BRI is both a geopolitical and a geoeconomic project. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) general secretary Xi Jinping originally announced the strategy as the "Silk Road Economic Belt" during an official visit to Kazakhstan in September 2013.

"Belt" refers to the proposed overland routes for road and rail transportation through landlocked Central Asia along the famed historical trade routes of the Western Regions; "road" is short for the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, which refers to the Indo-Pacific sea routes through Southeast Asia to South Asia, the Middle East and Africa. It is considered a centerpiece of Xi Jinping's foreign policy. The BRI forms a central component of Xi's "Major Country Diplomacy" strategy, which calls for China to assume a greater leadership role in global affairs in accordance with its rising power and status. As of early 2024, more than 140 countries were part of the BRI. The participating countries include almost 75% of the world's population and account for more than half of the world's GDP.

Back in Serbia, early protests primarily took the form of quiet vigils for victims of the collapse. 🪙 Alhambra 1 - Cordoba and Grenada

The siege of Córdoba in 1236 was a major turning point in the Catholic reconquest of Islamic Andalusia, now southern Spain. Córdoba and much of southern Spain had been under Islamic rule since the 700’s. It was such a big deal at the time, King Ferdinand III of Castile was made a saint by the pope. Following the fall of Córdoba, the next target for the Catholics was the city of Grenada, where the Caliph began construction of the Alhambra Palace, one of the great fortresses of the medieval era. The Alhambra was going to be a much tougher nut to crack.

The Alhambra Palace, unfortunately for the Spanish of the time, was one of the great marvels of the world, an insanely well-placed and well-built castle. Aside from towering fortifications, the Palace had built within a complex series of waterways which supplied the place not only with drinking water, but water for fountains, gardens, baths, and even steam rooms which heated floors and spas. Those inside the palace were protected from the outside world in a maze of luxurious splendor. They even built a fountain which could tell time.

🪙 Alhambra 2 - Canals and Pools

In order for water to flow into the palace correctly, they had to raise the elevation of the water’s source. Through damming, trenching a canal, and building a massive animal controlled water wheel and uphill reservoir capable of storing 400 cubic meters, roughly 105,000 gallons.

🪙 Alhambra 3 - The Lion Clock Fountain

A central fountain of the fortress was capable of telling time. A central pipe would fill the bowl slowly, every hour hitting a hole in the fountain that would pump water through the statue of a lion, of which there were twelve. Every hour another lion would spout water, until all 12 were spouting. Then the siphon would drain the fountain and the process would start again.

🪙 Alhambra 4 - The Steam

The steam produced by boilers in the fortress would travel through pipes and heat floors, and exit vents in certain rooms to create spas.

🪙 Alhambra 5 - Pools

With all this water moving and flowing around the fortress, a natural evaporation process would happen under the hot Spanish sun, creating a cooled climate in the desert mountains. 🌄

Auspiciously broadcasting conceptive designs, expounded fables, grown hither in joy. Knowing love makes noise of purpose, quietly radiating sensations tapped universally. Value whipped xenon, yesterday’s zodiac.

That feels better, shake some of the weird up. It’s been a trip and then some in the Satellite Skirmish, the first of which debuted June 29th. Two additional shows followed that up with Autumn Rust and Polar Embrace. A total of 18 sets from acts stationed all around the world hit the airwaves with a full complement of RSS jockeys and cartoons to boot. Almost said boost there. Technically I could still and it would work.
